Do you care about the grammar mistake when talking oral in English?热3ivoryho 2013-07-10 16:36There are so many English learners and students asked me if I care about the grammar mistake when talking in English. My answer is "depends".My students are various for dividing into few parts. For the basic English learners, the foundation is such important issue for them for accumulating the "root" of a language. But for those basic learners, I am not really "strict", I just would like them to master three basic tenses, no more. However, for the high level English learners who can 80% understand me and have the English sense, I am extremely strict with them. As they should be in the right position to hold different kinds of grammar and avoid making the related mistakes. But honestly, when I talk or when I write, sometimes, I also make mistake, but it doesn't matter, I "enjoy making mistake", just try to avoid making the same mistake.
most of the time, when I talk with others I don't care about the grammar, as long as they can understand what I am saying.
ruitony: most of the time, when I talk with others I don't care about the grammar, as long as they can understand what I am saying.Today, one of my students asked me how come the foreigners don't understand what's noun and what is verb. You can imagine. I told my students, the grammar is created for English learners, but not for native English speakers!!!!
